🌿 What is Kambo?
Nature’s peptide therapy from the back of an Amazonian tree frog. This sacred frog produces a waxy secretion loaded with bioactive peptides that work directly with the body’s systems. Known as “nature’s vaccine,” Kambo has been used for centuries to bring healing, purification, and balance.
Many people work with Kambo specifically to help clear mold, environmental toxins, and long-standing stagnation in the body, especially when other approaches haven’t fully worked.
Kambo is not psychedelic, though it can be psychoactive, often offering emotional clarity and deep somatic release.
It is traditionally administered through small burns on the skin called “gates,” allowing it to enter the lymphatic system.

Kambo is safe for the vast majority of people when properly administered. Upon registration, you will receive a medical intake form reviewed by us. If an issue arises, we will advise you on how to proceed.
🌿 Supporting Medicines: Hapé & Cacao
In addition to the Kambo ceremonies, Hapé (ha-peh/rapé) and ceremonial cacao will be offered to help gently prepare the body, mind, and energy field for deep work. These medicines are used at the beginning of the retreat to support grounding, heart opening, and somatic readiness prior to receiving Kambo.
Hapé
- Sacred snuff made from tobacco, ash, and Amazonian plants
- Administered intranasally (via kuripe for self-application or tepi by facilitator)
- Traditionally used to:
- Clear mental fog and intrusive thoughts
- Realign the energetic field
- Support connection to higher guidance
- Strengthen grounded presence
- Tobacco is considered a sacred masculine medicine—associated with clarity, boundary-setting, and energetic protection
Ceremonial Cacao
- A heart-opening medicine used for centuries in Mesoamerican traditions
- Contains theobromine and flavonoids to increase circulation and support heart expansion
- May assist with:
- Emotional release through the body
- Nervous-system-based integration
- Increased creativity, clarity, and self-connection
- Carries deep feminine energy, supporting softer regulation, embodiment, and ease in transformation
Together
When combined, Hapé and cacao help balance the masculine and feminine within, clear stagnation, deepen intentional focus, and create an aligned inner state from which the Kambo experience can be received.
✨The Process in Detail✨
We emphasize preparation, safety, comfort, and individual attention, but years of experience have taught us the most important ingredient is an abundance of positivity and presence.
Preparation
Participants receive guidance to ensure a safe and productive journey, including a medical screening, an intake call with Beth, and 1:1 attention during the experience.
Ceremony
Each administration includes sananga eye drops followed by Kambo application. The medicine enters the lymphatic system to facilitate a deep physical purge and energetic clearing process. You will be supported every step of the way.
Integration
Following each ceremony, we gather in circle to help you understand your experience and translate it into embodied wisdom. We will also have a group integration call about 1 week after the retreat.
An important note:
You are free at every step to decide how deeply you want to go into the work and how much you would like to share. You are also welcome to opt-out altogether of any part of the weekend, including the sharing circle. We honor your inner wisdom.
